Tabasco or Frank's Red Hot?

Personally, I find Tabasco to be too "vinegarry" to my taste. It took me a long time to figure out exactly what it is that I didn't like about it, but I'm sure that's it.

It's heavily fermented too, which puts some people off. Took me a long time to get to grips with DIY fermented hot sauces, and I still don't get really consistent results. Last two batches were/are killer though.

You guys NEED to try this stuff. It's like liquid crack, maybe the most delicious hot sauce I've ever tried. My roommate and I went through an entire bottle in two days.

It's not as spicy as the name suggests either, though it's definitely a couple of notches higher than Tabasco

Tabasco for hash browns and fries, the vinegar cuts the grease perfectly. Sriracha for everything else.

Sriracha and Texas Pete depending on the dish. I used to be a big Tabasco fan but I think the formulation changed back in the mid 90's. I thought it was just a few bad batches but Tabasco started having an odd taste that reminded me of bile.

I'm a huge fan of Sriracha myself. I don't like the Tabasco taste.

I prefer Cholulo brand but out of those 2............Tabasco.

Dave' Insanity or Blair's Ultra.

I usually put an ounce in the big Saracha bottle and mix.
And I am a hot-head!

If you really like it hot, you should try Dave's Ghost Pepper, it's the hottest I've ever had.
