Oddly enough, that E string that took so long to intonate, well it seems to be going dull / dead now... It just doesn't sound "right". I mean it does the notes and they are in correct pitch, but the sound is off. It seems awfully fast to me for a set of new strings for the E string to go dead.
Of course, with the exception of the time I was out on business travel, I have spent an average of 45 minutes a day playing that bass since it came in less than a month and a half ago... So figure probably 30 days straight with 45 min / day play time on those strings...
Seems quick to go dead, but it is starting to sound dead to me...
