I decided to upgrade the pickups and pick guard on one of my P Basses. In order to keep the stock pick guard, pots, and pickups intact as one unit, I decided to also replace the wiring harness. Just as that thought struck, I saw a posting from a fellow East Coast TBer (petrus61) about a P Bass wiring harness for sale using CTS pots, orange drop cap (0.47mf +/- 10%), Switchcraft jack and cloth wiring. His price, including shipping, was competitive to the individual parts and he put it together perfectly. But that is NOT the only reason I felt compelled to post. When I contacted petrus61 about the harness, I asked his advice on PUs. He took the time to understand my needs and make suggestions. We even discussed the tone shaping of different capacitor values. Post sale, I sent him a picture of my old harness with a couple of more questions and he responded quickly with additional helpful information.

So if you are considering a project that requires a harness – you must check out Terrence who goes by petrus61 here on TB.
