Talkbass lagging and loading slow?

When I am refreshing threads (on two different ISP's) the site seems to be lagging and from what I can tell it's when it is trying to load js.talkbasscdn.com

It is also timing out.

Anyone else having these issues?

I mention this in another thread.... the TB graphics for structure of the site will not load. Posted Images and hte advertisements load, but not the graphics. It has been like that for 2 days.

Sorry about the mess. I didn't announce anything because I thought in this day ISP's would be updating their DNS on a decent schedule.

On March 14th we started off-loading all images and javascript to a Content Delivery Network (CDN). CDN's speed up website loading for users, because instead of loading all the data from the TB server in Texas, you can get the data from an ultrafast node in various spots around the country (NY, LA, etc) and internationally.

Your ISP, however, has not updated its DNS, and so your browser don't know what to do with our new image calls to img.talkbasscdn.com, and it can't load javascript from js.talkbasscdn.com, etc. I wish I could tell you when they'll update - 99% of ISP's updated within minutes of the change. A few take as much as 24 hours, but by now you should be updated... Unless there's some caching going on. Work environments may be affected as well - until they add talkbasscdn.com to their DNS database, there's nothing we can do.

Well what I did as a temporary fix is manually add DNS servers for Frontier Communications (my home ISP) and I am trying it out now.

I thought with most ISP's it was up to a 72 hour turnaround on DNS changes?

Still messed up here too. Not that I should, but my daytime work distraction is functionally inept.

I have to hit back and forward on the browser a bunch of times and hope it doesn't time out to see just about anything.

Oh well.

Paul you can PM me for details if you want them. Only happens at work and prefer not to share my employer publicly. Our gateways service tens of thousands of users nationwide however. Not some mom and pop outfit.

We are on the AT&T for business backbone for Internet and have multiple gateways across the US. Mine is east coast, but switching to another gateway didn't make a difference.
