I have heard this from a lot of people but I am skeptical. I want to be able to have a tone like his coming from my pickup but it would be nice to have a tame tone if the time calls for it.

Hell, it should sound much better than stock, I've heard of hot rails being used on bass before, with good levels of success.

And yes, this bass is standard with the four leads.

Umm i did this today to my VM tele. For some reason the volume knob doesnt work. I checked everything and its right.

I noticed that the green wire came from the 3rd lug of the volume pot not the middle one. Was that a typo or not?

Its late so i dont have time to redo the wiring, but i will tmw.

Yup, I just checked, and its not the middle lug the hot(+) lead goes to, but this one.

Are you sure its a three way on/on/on?

Should be switch down, max vol, middle, about 60% and up about the same.

Ok funny story. I go to Radioshack to find the 3way on switch. The guy working swears they dont make such a thing, so i decide to just go to an electronics supply store. I found one immediately.

I have it all soldered up and it sound amazing.

Again thanks man. This is an awesome thing to do to this bass.
