Tapatalk can't find Talkbass?

I recently got another Kindle Fire (gave my old one to my daughter) and proceeded to load my apps on it. The Tapatalk app (which included Talkbass when used on my first Kindle) does not include this forum. Interestingly, when I reloaded Tapatalk on the first Kindle it gave the same message. Anyone else have this problem?

Unfortunately TalkBass isn't published in the Tapatalk directory any longer. By any chance are you able to run Android apps on your Kindle? The TalkBass App is in Google Play. I don't own one so I'm not sure. But actually I'd highly suggest simply visiting TalkBass on the Kindle web browser. The site is totally responsive to your screen size now, and you won't be limited by the app's functionality... Let me know your thoughts.

Damn, I loved talkbass on tapatalk... To bad it's not listed anymore.
Btw. If it's not listed does that mean that people who have talkbass on tapatalk still use it? Just us who installed new software can't find it?

Well, the reason I pulled TalkBass off the Tapatalk directory has to do with providing support on a system that we have no control over. Previously we had to ask every time someone needed support on their mobile app, "are you using Tapatalk or TalkBass App" - and many times the user didn't know the difference. So it made providing support difficult.

At least with the TalkBass App (which is still built by Tapatalk, via the T[Invalid or Expired Link Removed] service), we have control over how much advertising you all see, as well as the presentation of our content - and the money from advertising goes to us instead of Tapatalk. Granted, we have to pay a monthly fee to Taptalk for use of the TalkBass App - but at least we have control over the advertising saturation. I'm very protective of the 16 million posts on TalkBass, and I want control over how and where it's published, to put it bluntly.

We only had a handful of folks using the Tapatalk App to access TalkBass, and given the fact that we have two great alternatives to Taptalk for mobile access, I made the decision to pull out of Tapatalk. You can use the TalkBass App to access TalkBass with a Tapatalk-like interface (like I said, it's built by Tapatalk), or you can simply use your mobile browser, since TalkBass.com adapts to whatever device you're using automatically.

Apparently even though we're not listed in the Tapatalk directory, folks can still get to us on Tapatalk if you haven't reinstalled or updated your phone lately.

Bad news for me, being one of that handful. I use Tapatalk to access several forums, and I certainly would not want to install a separate app for each of those.

Regarding the support hassle, I'm not sure I'm buying this if it's really just a handful of Tapatalk users. BTW I originally switched to Tapatalk because the Talkbass app used to be quite buggy a while ago.

So it boils down to the advertising issues. Again, with just a handful of Tapatalk users the damage should be minimal. And as a paying customer a.k.a. supporting member I don't feel bad about using Talkbass without seeing ads, which is what Tapatalk does for me.

Maybe a solution could be to restrict access via Tapatalk to supporting members, if that's technically feasible. I for sure would be quite unhappy not to be able to use Talkbass via Tapatalk on my next device.

It's not a huge deal for me. If I could get the Talkbass app via the Amazon app store, I definitely would. It may be laziness or too much caution, but I don't want to enable 3rd party access (or whatever it's called) on the Kindle Fire. If I have any issues with my iphone however, I'll just use the Talkbass app.
