TARA Labs cable challenge!!

At first this was supposed to be just a power cable test, but Long wanted us with the resources to try out some of his other cables as well. I'm honestly not sure what all is coming, but will post a full inventory as soon as they arrive.

As for a roadmap, I am in NW Ohio. I will of course do some ear testing and such, but don't plan on hanging on to them for too long, so we can keep this thing moving. Any idea what tester would be next in line? I know JT is in Atlanta, and Gard in Orlando, not sure if there is any in between us, or if there is a more feasable route.

I try to give people the benefit of the doubt, but if I'm in business these days, I realize how important an Internet presence can be. I'm assuming by the lack of responses to this thread that the test cables have still not arrived. If it was my company, getting those cables into the hands of the testers would be a priority particularly since TB is so highly trafficked. My guess is this "potential test" is also being watched by a number of other bass and guitar forums.

I agree. At this point, no matter how the test turns out, it's already confirmed that whatever this company says should be taken with a huge grain of salt. It has now been over a month since Tara decided to "step up to the plate".

I'll bet Cable guy is wishing that he had never allowed himself to be painted into a corner where Taras absurd claims have to be proven.

The cables were "on thier way" a week ago. I'll bet they got lost in shipping.

One thing I don't want to see is any testing getting overshadowed by speculation about "I'll bet this happened" or "they probably backed out."

If Long says the cables are on their way, let's be patient and leave it at that for a few days.

Guys, I received an invoice today from tara, I expect the package to be here any time.

For those who are taking part in this, we need to come up with a roadmap, and schedule. According to the invoice, we have 90 days to get them back.

Testers please check into this thread, and let's get this organized. I'll take them first obviously, then I propose John Turner, and Gard as next.

Cables all arrived in good order today. I haven't had a chance to do any in depth-testing, I'll wait until cheezewiz is at work, and bring them in there for a blind "taste test", on various pieces of equipment. I'll also refrain from any of my initial thoughts on these, as to not color the thoughts of other testers. I will say, indeed this is some nice, high quality gear.
