I really hope they go on tour again. I was lucky enough to see them the first time around, in Detroit in 2009 before the album even came out. It was such a great show even without knowing any of the songs ahead of time!
I've recently been told here on Talkbass that playing with a pick is a mortal sin. Wow, there's a lot of pick bassists in this show. I guess they're all sinners. Just like me.
Of the fill in guest drummers, Travis might fit in well for a touring FF in the future. I know there are lots that would be capable, but he hits them hard like Taylor did thats for sure.
Never been a Travis Barker fan, but he did a good job. So did Josh Freese. But the real surprise was the young girl (Nandi?). She was fantastic!
I was not expecting that, seeing him kill it covering his dad with Grohl playing Mike's bass parts was pretty sweet.
Wolfgang Van Halen’s guitar performance was the most authentic sounding of anyone other than EVH himself
Lots of great guitarists can cover that stuff, but his had the feel of his dad.

I wasn’t able to sit down and watch it, but have really enjoyed the highlights and will watch more at a later date. And how about that Shane Hawkins???
This says playing with a capo is a mortal sin, not that playing with a pick is a mortal sin. I don’t agree with either, but it only proves you are engaged in hyperbole. And I also wouldn’t take it seriously.
"More egregious than playing with a pick" says that pick playing is also a mortal sin. Either way, I'm still gonna play with a pick. LOL.
Dude, no, that's literally not what it says. It certainly implies that playing with a pick is "bad," but only states that capo playing is a mortal sin. It's right there in plain English, and your interpretation is not supported by the words. Either way, it's ridiculous, and it's an opinion shared only by a tiny stupid minority of bass players who are unable to play with a plectrum. So there's no point in repeating it or implying that it's a common opinion on TB.
