I'll admit, I'm not a huge RUSH fan but I honestly could watch Geddy Live for hours on end... his playing and tone is just SO awesome. Now I'm going to be fighting the urge to buy a jazz again...

That opinion was pretty prevalent a couple decades ago here. No so much any more. It must have been a rare, narrow minded, member.

Geddy was amazing - still. That is one fast finger..... But they've (each) always played their parts (note for note) during their live performances and they still can. The "mix" was actually a little bass heavy...... which I thought was great. hahaha I'll go back and watch that again later.
And I never really listened to the Pretenders when I was younger. Don't know why ..... they were great too.

Haven’t heard for sure if there’s a livestream of the next one, I hope so!
And i believe Paramount+ is going to have it on demand, but not sure when. Hopefully they have it up in full (with trimming some of the equipment change breaks) on YouTube too.

Back in Black pissed me off. Thought Brian was awesome. Lars sucked, and what's his name from that one band came out and ruined it. Looked like Brian waved him out on stage, but dude probably 30 years Brian's junior couldn't hit the register, but then looked like he was holding the mic hostage. I watched the whole thing today. That was the only thing I didn't like from it. It was just awkward. And also I think Lars is poo poo. Otherwise, I was amazed at how smoothly it went, quality of talent, quality of production, and just pure love for Taylor. Reminds me of when I watched the tribute to Freddy live on MTV back in 92 at the same stadium. A fantastic send off.

I generally agree that it was not a highlight (from what I've seen at least), but I don't really attribute it too much to the Killers' singer. I agree that interaction was awkward, but that guy's a great singer and I don't think he meant anything by it. I think the lead guitar was mixed obscenely low, which ruined the vibe. Brian's timing was wayyyyy off in the first verse, which is understandable given his hearing issues, but it is worth noting. I don't think Lars sucked or ruined anything, but at the same time found him rather unremarkable other than some of the lead-ins where he really felt the time well.

Agree with your general statements. It was really nice to watch some rock and roll that was (a) live; (b) delivered by world class rock musicians; and (c) not over-practiced (or perfected or quantized or manipulated or augmented), just raw.

As if I hadn't known for years that Omar Hakim is a master drummer from all of his previous gigs, he utterly nailed YYZ behind Alex and Geddy, and watching DG playing behind them on their first song made me realize just how physical it was for Neil: DG looked winded after one tune, I can't imagine working back there for several hours. An amazing display by Omar, as usual.
