I am glad that they put this special concert on to recognize the genius of the dearly departed Taylor Hawkins, who was a phenomenal, soulful drummer. My favorite part of the concert was watching Wolfgang Van Halen shredding Hot For Teacher.

Found out this morning that a friend of mine will be on a work trip in LA the week of the next tribute show, and he scored 2 tickets. He invited me to join him, so if I can pull it off with my work schedule, I’m gonna fly out and do it.

The first concert was livestreamed via MTV/YT - but I can't find any info about the second one?

Would any of you know whether there will be a livestream this time around too?

Look it up. It says it will be livestreamed on MTV's Youtube channels like the last time starting at 10 PM EST.

I've tried doing just that - but couldn't find the direct link. Previously, some places had link for the stream before it went live - coulnd't find that this time. Will try to tune in once it's started.

Paramount+ is also showing it. Cheap subscription, sign up and then cancel right away.

I signed up with Paramount + for the first show, but I'd done the sign-up/cancel trick before...so they were wise to me being cheap, and they offered Showtime for an additional $3/month.

It's been a good deal so far - lots of stuff to watch (I'm a Star Trek nerd, and ALL of the Trekkie shows are on Paramount)...and that 1st concert was well-worth what they charged me for the whole month.

I probably won't stay up late enough to watch all of tonight's show, so it's nice to know they'll have it on demand.

Turns out this one is not streaming. I swear i saw earlier today that it was (other than the posts here), but now everywhere is saying it’s not. Bummer, but also relieved that i don’t have to stay up til 4am watching it too.

sadly, still no link on the MTV YT channel, and it doesn't seem like Paramount+ is available in Japan.

The 'international' platfrom that was suggested as a Paramount+ alternative, PlutoTV, isn't up either.

Will keep checking YT throughtout the day (here) / evening (in LA)... Please chime in if you have a working MTV/YT link that i've not found.

Saw a few recap clips from the show. Pink sounded killer with the FF. The Motley Crue/Def Leppard sections didn't fit well, IMO.

It's pretty amazing who turned out for that show
and probably a testament to the sort of guy Taylor was.

Honestly I can't think of a line up that compares since Live Aid

2 shows. One in London, one in LA.

The Freddie Mercury tribute show at Wembley in '92 was way tighter and packed far more impressive star power.

Regardless, I'm now ready for Grohl to go on hiatus for several years... give us all a break from himself.
