Thanks! I’ve been watching randomly last night. Epic moments. Apparently the video isn’t available now. Shame I didn’t saw Rush’s set. “My Hero” with Taylor’s son was incredible. Remembered Freddy Mercury’s memorial back in 92 with Metallica, Guns and all that line up in Wembley too

Agree with your general statements. It was really nice to watch some rock and roll that was (a) live; (b) delivered by world class rock musicians; and (c) not over-practiced (or perfected or quantized or manipulated or augmented), just raw.

It wasn't The Killers' singer - he wasn't there. It was the singer from The Darkness.

It’s not just you. They were a bit off. To be expected though based on the complexities of the songs combined with no rehearsal and a drummer they’ve never played with. They still did pretty damn good!

That’s what I love about live music, you get what you get, warts and all. I thought it was an epic performance. Geddy’s tone was incredible.

I can’t imagine the coordination it took to get all of these musicians together to play. Can’t remember which song it was but everyone on stage was looking at the drummer waiting for the cue
to end the song.

When I was a wee kid in high school, John Lousteau, recording engineer with Taylor and others here and sometimes drummer for Chevy Metal, was this amazing local drummer to me. First studio I ever recorded in he worked in. He was such a nice guy across the whole scene, encouraging us all, showing us gear and explaining drum micing, would turn me on to new music he thought was in the neighborhood I was doing.

Very cool for me to see him up there in this. He has shared how profoundly Taylor’s death hit him. So I see a lot of healing in this show. Is there dust in my eye?

Unbelievable timing for me. I realized it was on YouTube and turned it on. I then saw Brian Johnston & Lars play AC/DC, Stuart Copeland, Rush, and Queen. Right up my ally! I stayed glued to the live stream until I had to leave for my own gig. What a beautiful concert. The number of people Taylor affected seems unreal.

BTW - Dave Grohl has now played 2112 Overture live twice. One time on guitar at the R&R HOF and one time on drums at this concert. That's pretty impressive.

I've not seen the entire thing. Dave Grohl has lost Kurt Cobain and now Taylor Hawkins; most everyone who performed knows that Occupational Hazard of time business either directly or indirectly. Was anything said about this, any mention of recovery? Or was it the usual Ostrich stance of sticking their heads in the sand?
