It seems like Cruise basses were all the rage a few years ago and then I never heard about them again...odd... Fickle bunch we are.
Why not? I'll cover the low end spectrum...
I rented an Epiphone very similar to that one a long, long time ago (1973ish) to play my very first gig. I still can't believe that the store put that brand new bass in a brand new case (no gig bags back then), charged me only $10 for a rental fee and let me ride off with it on my bicycle...no parents involved, etc.

Just my very old 300D, with the flash bounced. Then I just desaturated and adjusted the levels in photoshop.
