TB guitar users: your input please...

So... Hi. Welcome to this thread. I am a bass player, as are we all (I presume), but I am also a guitar user. I have owned several guitars, and I still have one me adjacent. Have recently acquired new strings, and am curious what lies in store.

The strings in question are GHS Eric Johnson Nickel Rockers, and the guitar in question is a Strat with a single HB. Yes, it really is. Really.

Any input/comments/suggestions/recipes (?) y'all could suggest regarding the proper care and feeding of these strings? D'addario XLs on the guitar now, looking to mellow the tone of the egregiously hot HB pickup on the guitar currently.

Kinda funny, I have one of them single humbucker Strat bodies that had a Hondo short scale bass neck put on it - a poor man's short scale 'ray LOL.

Treat them the same as any other string--I love GHS strings--it's what I use the most on electric guitar.

I think there are Slinkys on the Zombiecaster, my electric guitar. I don't remember now. I usually play an archtop that is strung with d'Addario flats. This thread reminds me that I probably ought to replace all of those strings. They are sounding pretty dead by now, and I only like dead strings on bass guitars.

I occasionally use a guitar as well. I have a mid-80's Strat, a Squier Stratacoustic, and an old Ovation acoustic. I never did anything special for guitar strings. I use the Ernie Ball slinky line for the electric, and the last few times I bought strings for the acoustics, I asked the sales guy for recommendations. I've since forgotten what he sold me. I tend to find something I like, and stick with it. Always used the Ernie ball line for the electric, and was happy with their performance, so I never looked any further. Same goes for bass strings - discovered the Rotosounds in the 70's, and haven't really had the need to try anything else. I guess I'm weird that way.

There's really not much to it, the same as bass strings. Install them correctly and enjoy!

If the issue is that the humbucker p/u is too hot, maybe screw it down a little lower so it's not as close to the strings? Different strings may not be the solution (though of course you should change them from time to time anyway, same as you would on a bass).

IME the sudalties and tone differences in bass strings from manufacturer to manufacturer do not exist in much of any detectable differences tonaly with regards to guitar strings. (Electric). Although I am really liking the new hex core strings from D'adderio NYXL I believe. They seam to be tighter and reduce fret buzz which helps with my heavy handed style.
