I emailed last week saying I would love to order one and save him the listing and final value fees. I got an email tonight asking me which model/color I would like and he would make sure I was able to get one. I told him I wanted an AP400MM in Black Cherry.

After reading how some of you got responses to your emails to him, I emailed again and this time he replied with an invoice. I've sent payment and now I am waiting to be the proud new owner of an AP-400 MM...hopefully in Black Cherry- the invoice said Midnight Blue so I added the color option into the special instructions to seller section of Paypal. I hope he gets that...I'm going to have to email him again on that but at least I know I'll get one now.

I'm assuming that he wasn't responding to our emails because he was busy building...maybe now he has a group finished and is going through emails trying to match up what he's got with the demand (which is bad news for anyone waiting to see what shows up on the ebay store). I was a little surprised I got an invoice so quickly...in my email I told him that I'd prepay and wasn't in a huge hurry but he said no need to prepay and said he'd just send me an invoice once the bass was completed. Less than 24 hours later I have an invoice so hopefully it is finished and shipping soon!

Just thought I should mention that he completed making all the necks and bodies some time ago and that he only needs to assemble them now and do fretwork etc. if needed, so that is why he is making them so quickly. I think I'd be scared to buy a bass from someone who makes 4 from scratch in 2 days :)
