See sig for link to more photos.

Single-M 5er. Has new rosewood knobs, looks quite sweet. I need to take some new photos.
working on some sound clips at the moment, took a break to check TB. heh. I'll post 'em shortly.
EDIT:
sound clips: Link Removed
Titles are pretty descriptive. D major scales on a mim fender jazz (fretless), TBC with eq flat, TBC with bass full treb off, and TBC with treb full bass off.
There's also a short noodling on the TBC which I ran through Audacity, normalized and compressed lightly. :D

GASing for one of the JJ's, but can't rationalize it right now sadly. :crying:

i received it last tuesday and took it to a local tech for a setup
the tech asked where i got it from he thought it was a custom bass that cost like 3grand because the way it looked and sounded. i told him that i payed $300 for it and his jaw dropped. :D i wish i had my camera to get his reaction oh well :bassist:

kloc,

Working on some clips myself with my AP-400MM.

I love this bass, I just set the tone controls near flat (tweak 'em based on the tune) and use the blend pot to dial in the mix.

I will post clips and pix asap.

Here's mine. Awesome.

I had a slight issue with the nut, but the local tech assures me it is nothing (just spaced a little off). It does not affect playability at all...this bass rocks. No dead notes, and the sustain - waaaaaaaaaaaa...you can go out for a bite, and the thing will still be singing when you get back.

How does your TBC compare tone-wise to the OLP TL Sig that you had?

Hey Dwayne,

The TL Sig had that really nice bark when you played over the pickup. The TBC can do that too with a little more mid eq boost. However, the ability to blend the neck MM pup gives it some great fundamental and low overtones and still allows you to have the attack definition you expect from a MM bridge pup.

All in all, the TBC is turning into my favorite recording bass because it is so easy to dial in the tone with the mix, especially the kick. I run across so many different kick drum sounds and I can tweak at the instrument and "marry" the two rather than at the board.

Hope that helps, I have some stuff to do but I am hoping to post some Bass/Drum clips this weekend.

Best, Mark

excellent, I only sold it, because I could not justify at the time having 3 original TBC's. I had a HH one too. They all pull off the stingray vibe very well.

The green 4 banger was an alder body, string thru, excellent hardware, fast neck.

The redburst 5, is excellent, same stats, but ash body. This one is actually for sale in the classifieds.

They are amazing basses and sold for around 1000 new, the problem is finding them now, but when u do, 4 string H go for 350-450, 5 string H go for 450-550, and HH 4's go fro about 450-550, and 5 string HH go for a little more.

The only reason for such a dip is name recognition, but that also leads to some deals sometimes.

The whole problem is finding them..

There are some close up pics of the 5 in my FS post

Hello all,

I have been wanting to post clips of my TBC AP400MM and finally got to it.

Just a 3 chord blues in G but enough to get the picture.

The first is an equal blend of both pups, the second is the bridge pup soloed. EQ is flat.

MP3s lose some lows and highs but, as you can hear, the bridge pup has some growl and the blend adds a bit of fatness.

I also have clips of the neck pup soloed and my Jamerson P for reference but TB only allows me to post 2 clips and I don't have access to a FTP site, any suggestions?
