I used my new BG250-112 at a rehearsal last night with my 11-piece salsa orchestra, and it sounded great! I was hoping it would be loud enough, and it had room to spare. The compressor (spectracomp) toneprint is great, in moderation. I used it almost all of last night's rehearsal. I didn't need to go through the PA, but was able to compete with 3 mic'd horns, several percussionists and several singers, as well as loudly amplified keys. And now I can carry everything I need for rehearsals like that in one trip! I haven't tried it in a rock band setting with a loud drummer yet though. I'm not sure I expect it to hang in that scenario, but will give it a shot soon enough!
I also really really like the overdrive toneprint I'm using on it. It sounds fantastic on that amp. I forget which one it is, but I think it may be the top one in the list as it appears in the mobile phone app. Great sound.
