That's a Moody strap - the best guitar/bass straps made! And of course, you can get them from me! :D

Here's another Moody strap. And my FBass BN5. And my RH450 rig in the background. And my oldest son. And yes, we are playing on a trailer. We are in Missouri after all...

dang this thread is ginormous,

dunno if it was already mentioned, but both joe's pub and arlene grocery here in nyc use the TC stack as their backline.

used both, and gotta say, pretty nice for an ultralite head. just the fact that the settings are glow in the dark is kinda nice. easy to dial in a thick, punchy sound. and the stack fits really small tight stage layouts. and makes striking incredibly easy.

please have me excused for piggyback-riding this thread...

I play Link Removedwith a RH450, RS210 & 212. Now I have decided to add an additional cabinet for various reasons

(1# mainly because I have cash left over from selling my Ampeg SVT stack, 2# to avoid the vertically stacked 2 cabs from falling down one more time, 3# to add more punch!!! )

Would you recomend a 212 or a 210?

The 210/212 stack thing is kind of strange conceptually (although I'm sure it sounds good), and I assume is based on that trial program, where TC sent out both cabs (a 210 and 212) to give the 'testers' a taste of the range of the full range of products that were in the TC bass line at the time.

My guess is, TC would not particularly recommend the 210/212 combination, as, in most cases, matching two smaller cabs gives more consistent results.

It seems that all these guys using the 210/212 stacks is an 'unintented consequence' of that test program they set up.

Edit: I see on the site they do recommend either 2 x 210 or 210/212 stack (if you want more low end). I didn't realize the 212 was so much deeper than the 210. I bet it sounds very good, but it would be 2 x 210 for me if I ever went this direction.

If I already had a 210/212, I would DEFINTELY pickup another 210. The 212 is much deeper and fuller sounding however.

I have the 210/212, and I'm not sure it's my ideal combination just yet. I think I might prefer dual 210's instead. The 212 is ideal if you are outside in a wide open area, or if you are boosting a lot of bass as in dub or reggae. The 210 has much more punch. The two together is interesting because the 212 kinds of tramples the 210 just a bit much for my tastes. I think traditional players would LOVE this, but I like the attack of 10's.

When my first 210 arrived, it was defective. Basically it was the cab construction. One side was a 1/4" longer than the other, and it leaned a bit. I was sent a replacement 210 with along with an air-bill to return the defective one. When it arrived, I experimented for an hour or so with dual 210's, as well as the 212/210/210 horizontal stack. WOW. that last one was killer. The 212 horizontal on the floor with dual 210's on top was very punchy and deep.

If you want to add more punch, I'd probably add another 210. The 212 will add more bottom end, but I wouldn't describe it as punchy...

BTW, I'm in the 210/212 user camp. I demo'ed a rig that had it, and really dug the combination of sound. The 212 gives you a fullness that you get with much bigger cabs, and the 210 gives you that punch and clarity in the upper register that gives more definition.

That's what I'm talking about in every possibly way... groove, tone, chops, everything. Holy Moly! I likey, likey! I don't see the tuner note changing on most of the shots, so I assume most of that mega rig is for show (or I guess the drum thing was going through much of it.).

I think he is plugged in to the first on on the left-the other 2 are just being used as "slave" amps..going directly to the power amp section. Thats why the light are showing on the first head only.
