The thing about TC, at least for me is: They admitted it once it was exposed but the print on their website concerning this is buried. You have to download a PDF to read it, while still telling the same "lie." Kinda like they were hoping it'd just go away. New customers were still being misled.
So I divebomb threads concerning them allot.
Maybe I pick on them hard but all they have to do is cut the ******** and I'll drop it.
Consumers deserve the truth, so when it's hard to find I'll point it out.

The buyout couldn't happen to a nicer company.

TC knew that even if they published their 236w reality check numbers the retailers would still run with the fake numbers since the cat was long out of the bag. Even now, years later those inflated numbers are quoted on all retail sites.

In many ways this is fitting. Uli's interactions here on TB are oddly similar to the interactions with the TC people when their fiasco was unfolding.

You should be Yamaha's a great company. They may not make the absolute very best stuff on the market, but everything they make is done very well, it usually works, and they don't BS. Those TF boards looks super sweet, BTW.

I work with the Yamaha CA (now Pro Audio) people quite a bit for my job and they're all solid people.

TF should be HUGE.

The smallest of the line of mixers is about 2300$ more than my budget. :*(

Between AM&S, Behringer, and Harman, I'm going to say that they've got an honest 60-70 percent of the music market locked up between them. I don't care one way or another about T.C. but one of our fellow repair shops is so fed up with the Music Group what with waiting months for parts that the only way he'll take in their product is if the client agrees to take responsibility for obtaining parts while he forgoes any parts mark-up. He figures if he doesn't have to call them 4-5 times just to get the part ordered and then call another 4-5 times to get it sent and 4-5 times to straighten out the billing, he's way ahead of the few percent he nets on parts mark-up.

I didn't realize there was hate for tc. I bought a bh250 last month from the classifieds and have been very happy with it. I don't know what marketing may have said but it's very loud and light and perfect for my gigs.

This is a great move for the TC Group and Music Group!
FOH stuff is going to be amazing.
TC has got the modeling down, both hardware and software.
It will killer when this stuff is incorporated into new designs.

One thing I'd like to see pronto is TC's 1 year warranty immediately expanded to 3 years - on everything.

Well, it was a business decision. Nothing personal against any one specific talkbass member.
You never know what's going to happen. There's a lot of speculation that TC Electronic products are going to turn to trash.

Lexicon owned by Digitech. Digitech pedals improving. Not the other way round.

Actually Lexicon and Digitech are both owned by Harman International Industries, along with brands like JBL, Crown, AKG, Soundcraft, dbx, BSS and many others. Let's hope B-word doesn't buy Harman. B-word also owns Midas now.

No need to worry about TC Group future
MIDAS, KLARK TEKNIK, TURBOSOUND, are all doing better. They definitely have more distribution and availability and have some killer products.
The Music Group isn't just about Uli, it's about all the people working at these brands. They're not going anywhere.

I wonder if any US based companies are in The Music Groups eyesight?

My tc head just broke when I told it that behringer owned it now. Literally went up in smoke. I'm pretty offended that behringer did this to personally screw me. It was fine when tc owned the company, so why I say?

I'm sure all will be well. What it looks like behringer has done now is to incorporate technology from the acquired brands into behringer products. That can't be a bad thing. And it seems like they let the other brand continue to exist the same way it did before, unlike some other acquisition companies...
