Cool! Welcome! I know there are folks using the RH450 with uprights and, I would assume, an RS112 as well. If you don't find someone in this forum, maybe inquire on the other side.

I have three presets that I call Deep, Punch and Growl...I've used these named settings for years with my old Tech 21 Programmable Bass Driver DI which coincidentally also had 3 presets.

FWIW, Deep is a smooth bass sound, reminiscent of Beatles era McCartney; Punch has a bit more bite, close approximation to my favorite Trace Elliot MP11 (which I still own) setting ...a blend of Flea / Steve Digiorgio tone; finally, Growl is an early '70s Yes Chris Squire tone (Fragile, CTTE, Relayer, etc.). My main bass is a Ric 4003, so YMMV.

No cabs needed here, as I run my RH450 direct to FOH or my Bose L1 Model II.

Luckily for me , my ceiling caved in on my 15 year old EA 350.

What to do , read up on the TC RH450 and picked one up today .

Had it at a Zep cover band rehearsal tonight running an Eden 410xlt with a mxr m80 for some extra spudge. {was using an eden head ,not mine} with the tubetone set at 11 oclock.

So easy to use , so versatile but the clarity in hearing myself well
was such a joy.

Didn't try the spectracomp YET.

Love this amp.

I dropped mine the other day, loading up the car for practice, from about 3 feet.
It caved it the handle a bit. But it still works, solid. I always wondered if it could take a good fall.

Hehehe... Months ago I was playing and one of the horn players dropped (or threw, we're not sure) his 'bone and it landed on the enamel-coated corner of the RH450 leaving a shiny spot. I inquired about "touch-up paint" and TC said they didn't have anything like that...

Oh well... The front corner above my RH450 above the volume has a really really shiny spot where the enamel has dinged off and left the bare metal showing... ;-)

Yeah, the TC Soft bag really blows goats... the padding around for the shell is only a few millimeters thick and barely protects scuffs... Even a gentle meeting with rough pavement when setting down the bag can cause it to tear right through.

I don't think that's quite the point. For example. If you set the bag down, the weight of the amp in the bag can actually cause the outside of the bag to fray quite easily. The design of the padding inside the bag is such that over time, downward pressure of the amp head on the padding will cause the bag padding to rip leaving only direct inside-bag to outside bag material contact. That, to me, is a big design fail.

The zipper pulls are absolutely the cheapest rubber you can have and the big buckle on the strap is not even a solid fit - you must check it every time you use it or you risk it popping open. I wrapped idiot strings and tape around the buckle to keep it from popping open.

For the price the bag costs it's is indeed garbage. The smaller bag that came with my EA iAmp (not an EA designed bag) was half the price and made to much higher standards - so that's what I use now.

It is the best amp I ever had, and coupled with a RS410 it throws the most fantastic tones imaginable!!
