I've been teaching online lessons exclusively since the pandemic. I have my reasons, mainly that there are two of us working from home and I don't want to disturb other work going on.
I used to have consistently good results plugging my microphone and my bass into my Apollo Twin interface, and using Zoom for my lessons. My students could hear me speaking, they could hear my bass, they could hear if I was playing music ("iTunes"), they could hear if I was playing a YouTube video, and they could hear if I was playing on my MIDI keyboard.
Now, several (but not all) of my students complain that they can't hear my bass or anything besides my voice.
I have a message in to Zoom about this, but I was wondering if any of you teach online and use a platform that you're really happy with, meaning you can get all necessary audio over the internet and hear your students as well, and can consistently troubleshoot any problems they might have from your side of the computer. Four weeks of this has me pulling my hair out.
