Guitar center has a used 1048H for sale on their site for 289... but it'll cost 73 to ship it to me. That's still looking like the best deal available at the moment though...

If I could sell one of my other basses.... I'd be all over that!!!! It matches my other ones... green carpeted 1518T cabs
course if someone had 2 of em, I would trade an SWR Goliath SR and maybe some cash ... for them
Sadly, I'm probably better off playing it safe a couple weeks til next payday. If I'm lucky there will be something similar available on September 16th!
This is actually my first post on this forum and I decided to share my rig. I don't have nearly as much Trace as I'd like, but I do have to say it's the best sounded portion of my setup. I have a 200W Genz Benz head going into a TE 1153t cab (original TE 15" speaker). I have the direct out going into the input of my Hartke HyDrive 210c combo amp. When I get more moolah that Hartke and that Genz Benz are going bye-bye and I'll be getting either a 2x10 or 4x10 Trace Elliot cab and hopefully a Trace Elliot head will sit atop my wall of sound. If not that, then it'll be a Genz Benz 6.0 or a Orange Bass Terror

There's a fella on the local craigslist selling one of the Peavey 410 TX cabs for 200. I wonder if he'd take 150 for it... it's no Trace, but it's affordable now >_>

If you had a 1084H (above) you wouldn't need the 1028 and you could sell it for 250-300.00 easy!

I couldn't swing that until a month from now, and I have 4 fairly large shows between now and then :-/. My other 5 shows can all be handled by just the 2x10.
Seems like the best compromise will be trying to find a 1048 two weeks from now.
I have roughly 300 dollars in my "amp fund" at the moment. After payday it'll be 600. I don't mind waiting, such is life! Plus it's part of the excitement.
