Double Bass Tecamp 500 for DB??

Hello to everyone,
I'm just trying (again) to find something to reproduce with fidelity the sound of my DB.
I've tried everything yet, but still not fully satisfied.
Recently I've came across with the Tecamp puma 350, and It immediately seems very interesting.
I've tried some comparison tests, (not very well recorded,because sometimes the signal goes in saturation) with my various stuff:
I've tested my French DB mounted with Evah Pirazzi Weich amplified by 1)Realist;2)DPA 4099;
the amp used were Wizzy 12M with tree different Heads (two lent me): Doubler(mine); Clarus+ and Puma350

I've tried the puma 350 in rehearsal and in small Jazz gig (open air): if during the rehearsal I liked it a lot, during the gig was not so convincing.
So I'm supposing that could be a problem of power, maybe 500W than 350W could change my impressions?
Any advices?
I was also considering the possibility to try an Ampeg SVT or Aguilar AG500SC...

I'm using a Tecamp PUHMA 212 combo for DB. It has the PUHMA 500 amp + 2x12" speakers.
Sonic output is just great.

How do you like the tone shaping controls for DB?

I'm considering getting a Puma 900 for doubling gigs and deliberating between putting a Basswitch in front it for the DB. Or I could get the two channel Bonafide Tecamp which is 2 puma 500's basically and use the the Puma pre to shape the DB sound.

well, the PUHMA is a very clean amp like Glockenklang's. Extreme Tone tweaking is not of his business.
This said - the tone controlls are very effective to shape a good tone for give emphasis to lows, lo mids, high mids, and treble.
The taste control is very effective to make the tone more dry or fat. Anyway I have the controls on 12 o'clock most of the time.

Given good input you get good output.

If it would break I would go to get another one.

Feedback handling I do with external parametric eq's and notch filters.
