Thanks a lotIf you're going to use the BFR as your main preamp, I think you'll be fine.
That's funny! I just noticed that last night when looking for some random Tech 21 pieces...A little OT, but if you search Tech21 on the ebog, it seems to be the name of a maker of cell phone cases ...
I'm now a pedals guy, but the RBI became my favorite preamp for overdrive back when I was rack rigging.Anyone here using an RBI into a stereo power amp for their live gig setup?
How do you like the RBI?
I’ve saved up the money for one, and I intend to use it with my Yamaha PX5 power amp into my Mesa Powerhouse 610.
The only Sansamp item that I own is a GED-2112, which I also power with my PX5 into a pair of Mesa Powerhouse 212 cabinets. It’s seriously an earth shattering rig, that I absolutely love.
The RBI will allow me the ability to run a single cabinet.
The manuals for all the pedals suggest doing what you describe. I only have experience with the SH-1 and it works great.Anyone run a Tech 21 BDDI, VT, Paradriver, SH1, dUg, etc. PEDAL (not rack gear) as their main/only preamp tone shaper into a power amp or into an amplifier fx return, bypassing the amps own preamp? Just curious to see how many, if anyone does this. I did many years ago with a BDDI and a Mackie power amp. Thought about going that route again.
