Tech 21 Sansamp Question

Hi,
I've been looking into getting some sort of 'volume boost' pedal for a while as I seem to fall out of the mix whenever i do any tapping or lead work with my band. I've been told that Electro Harmonix have a pedal and was looking at those and came across the Sansamp.

From what i can gather this doubles as a DI as well. This is also something that i have been wanting to get for a while to add to my set up.

Would the Sansamp be a good combo of stomp box volume boostery and DI? or would it be a better idea to get two seperate things?

Oh sorry, i was refering to the Sansamp Bass Driver DI. I've been reading on it and i understand that it does change your sound a bit and i think that could be good to add to my boosted signal.
I've also heard of people using it as part of their effects chain, but just leaving it on bypass as it seems to colour the tone even just like that.
Still looking around for other options at the moment though, but i definitely want a stomp boost pedal. So if you have any ideas on a good one of those, im pretty open to suggestions.

Thanks, and no worries Billoetjen haha. I shuffled through my old Digitech pedals and found my compressor works nicely boosting my higher notes and also adds a nicer tone to them.
Still think I might look into the BDDI though. Could always come in handy
