Tech 21 VT Character Series Bass Pedal

Dude, that's a great demo! I left a comment...also commented on the British demo...the British is next on my list since I double on guitar and only own a Fender amp. And you need to edit in some more of your daughter in the VT demo...she cracks me up when she says "EM-U-LAY-TAAAAAH, YES!"

Haha! Thanks guys. It's nice to know a slack six-stringer like me can pull a half decent sound on a bass. The pedal helps though. A lot.

And Sadie? Hell, she's been the star of my videos since I started churning them out nearly a year ago. She's in around 30 of them I think.

Check this one out. Sure to put a smile on your face. :)

Rock Box! :D

The oscillations section was priceless too. When you two just looked at each other.....wow. And when you two were turning knobs, it was like the proverbial scientists at the supercomputer flick from the sixties.

Thank you, Brett.
I don't know...I greatly preferred seeing Sadie show off her nail polish collection ;) I can't wait for her to develop a stand-up comedy act!

I posted this link in the last thread about the VT Bass but the thread was ended moments after. Must be me.

Here's a clip of my not-so-superb-usage of the Tech 21 VT Bass. The bass is a $100 Monterey P Bass copy. I ran the VT straight to Logic via an M-Audio ProFire 610. I stuck a Waves L-316 on the output to keep levels from freaking.

really great and helpfull videos! I thouht that it is MIA P-Bass  ! Amazing sound! :hyper:

The Pedal of the Future is a tech 21 VT with 4 different preset settings and an xlr out.

am ready to buy it now! pre-order? no problem, heck i'll take a bank loan for it ;)

so now i have an issue. i like my vt bass' overdrive sound, i just love how it fills up the sonic space and i sound different too :D
but there some songs where i have to play a lot of slap parts, now overdrive and slap dont get along. so if it turn off my vt bass and dial in the mid scoop on the boss eq pedal i really start missing the vt bass buttery amp sim :atoz:
any solutions for this? is there any cheap overdrive pedal which sounds like vt bass?:ninja:

Nice work! I checked some of your other clips out as well. Great stuff :)

Thanks for the kind words everyone. I feel like a fish out of water contributing to a bass forum but I also feel welcome, and that's really cool.

Sadie is a great kid. We're like peas in a pod, much to her mum's dismay. Heheh. She's only 7 but she's switched on and quite funny at times. I'm a very lucky dad. I'm not sure what to look forward to in her teenage years though....

Thanks again. B.

LOL

never heard of it.

sorry im not a dick, but, you must be living under an 8x10" rock. :)

In case you didn't notice, I started this thread back in June when this pedal was still relatively new. My intention was to get some feedback from people who actually owned and used the pedal before I bought one. Everyone else on TB (other than you) provided intelligent and constructive feedback. If your only purpose on this forum is to insult other people, then you ARE a dick.

No, there isn't, just Buy another VT bass - set one for crunch mode and the other for tone mode and Rock On!!!! :D

I already have a (programmable) BDDI, but I just cracked and ordered a VT just to see what the raves are all about. Late to the party, but looking forward to giving this a blast when it arrives. :bassist:
It works really well with Markbass amps, dude. They already sound Ampeg-ish already, but the VT puts it over the top.
