Well you outrightly dismissed DEP as tech metal. As much as that term is thrown around these days, I don't agree with that. I've heard them labeled that many times from many sources.

Sorry if it came across as instigation, but I smelled a hint of metal elitism...

Alex did play with Charlie from Behold...the Arctopus and Ron Jarzombek in Blotted Science (Machinations of Dementia). Great album by the way.

When I heard Death's "Individual thought patterns" album, for the first time I realised what is the awesome power of the instrument called BASS. Thanks to Steve DiGiorgio for that.

BTBAM's Dan is just amazing in every way - with his beefy tone and bass lines.

Liam Wilson from DEP is really great too, but he's more of a team player and that works really well for the band thats pretty crazy on drums.

Although, some people might simply argue that it's not metal, but wether or not it is, Domenico Citriniti owns pretty much anyone else in this thread.
