Although you can't really tell in the picture, the two painted ones actually have the '54 contours, but the walnut one is a true slab.Love those slab Tele basses!

I'm a sucker for '54s.Although you can't really tell in the picture, the two painted ones actually have the '54 contours, but the walnut one is a true slab.
I saw them and love those too. I have a few w/ contours myself but slab is my preference.Although you can't really tell in the picture, the two painted ones actually have the '54 contours, but the walnut one is a true slab.
That is exactly why I fell in love with that body when I saw it and went and built yet another bass I didn't need. LOL!I love it when someone combines absolute tradition with a new twist. Great looking bass.
The blue one could use a little touch up.
Right? Lol.The blue one could use a little touch up.
Nice basses.
One of the cool things about the blonde one is that it's my lightest full-sized bass at 7 lbs 3 oz even with the high-mass bridge. Quarter-pounder pickup.Single coil P basses are my favourite non custom design.
I like the 'blonde one in post #19
A single coil P is my main instrument at the moment, and has been for a while.
but the ergonomics of the thing defeated me.
The blue relic pictured several posts above has a pickup, electrics, control, plate, and pickguard from the Sting bass.I have a Squier Classic Vibe bass which is my favorite bass and a Sting Signature bass which are both single coil. Those are pretty much the only 2 I play.

The walnut Tele has a typical Mexican P neck. 1.625.I had a '51 CIJ reissue for a while. Fantastic sound, but the ergonomics of the thing defeated me. This bass is so beautiful I'd try again...the P neck shown is 1.625? And the original Tele bases were 1.75?
American or licensed? You could have bought the ones I am about to put in the classifieds and had them the next day, or so.
I hear this but don't really understand what people mean. Can you elaborate? Is it the neck? The body?
