Am I the only one bothered by the fact that these basses are called Telecasters when they look nothing like a Telecaster??

I love the Wilkinsons. Simple, vintage looks. Not so heavy. Very inexpensive. And of course the brass saddles.

Man, that's a beauty! Very nice work, I can find nothing wrong with that at all. I can say if it were mine, and I wish it was, I'd trim the headstock to a Tele profile. But just stellar work.

Here's a update to this project. Neck swap for a Tele-style neck. This one is from Allparts and it's very nice. Besides the headstock shape now being more suitable, I also felt there was no need for a fender logo and went with my own. The neck feels great and the profile is decidedly chunky the way I prefer. Another upside is that it managed to shed another 2 oz bring the overall weight down to 7 1/4 pounds with even better balance than before.
