Tell me about Jazz

Yep, a seagull poster, flies in, craps all over everything, and disappears.
A bit of an OTT statement
So all opinions are equally valid? The guy who once heard a Kenny G record's opinion on "jazz" is equally valid to the guy's opinion that's spent 50 years listening and studying the history of the music from 1917 to the present?

Well, all righty then!

Y'all just carry on, I won't bother to introduce any more actual information, since this has just been declared an information-free zone!
An opinion is simply that...an opinion, regardless of how he/she came to it. If someone heard a Kenny G record and liked it, then his/her opinion is that Kenny G is good. It is HIS valid opinion. The fifty years history guy's opinion will be different and also valid. People are free to decide for themselves what opinion to take on board or throw out. You don't have to spend fifty years listening to, and studying the history of music to enjoy a jazz (or any music record) and to form a personal opinion about the music on that record.

In the end...it is all just...well... music.:bassist:
