Tell me about your band!

I play in Little Atlas, it's a prog band, (actually we share stage with Lord Only once, here in South Florida, John is a great Bass Player and I learned about this site thanks to him :D )
In my band bass is not as prominent as Lord Only's, but at least is not buried in the mix :)
here you can find sound samples of our latest CD:

Normally prog does nothing for me. But you guys are real interesting. Needs more atmospheric keyboards though. And tell the singer to shave (and less vibrato). :P

My band is sort of an internet project....my buddy lives 4-5 hours away but we're both members of a Jewish youth group so I see him every month.

He does a lot of electronica music on his own, and plays drums (programs them in this project, actually). So we banded together to make DOUBLE BARREL BOOMSTICK, a funk-prog-metal-rock project with lots of movie and zombie references. It's quite goofy, and you can hear it here: Link Removed

My playing on "JSMBS" is a bunch of random fuzz bass overdubs I did. Somehow, it all kinda works. Kinda.

"Zombach's Digital Thrash Ditty" is just that- he programmed it all.

"Sam Jackson" is a pure tribute. Simple slap line. Zach/Zombach does vocals, and yes, they are pitchshifted down an octave.

Hope you all enjoy.

We play reggae, punta rock, soca and blues.

It is a lot of fun and the crowds get really into it as they are not acustomed to hearing that kind of music around here.

I'm also nearly half the age of the rest of the guys in the group :)

My band mounTsuzuki is kind of an indi jazz type thing. just got the basement jams up on our site now. We got a new drummer who rocks but have not got any demos with him yet. We are working on recording right now and will have the new finished tunes up soon. About a month. check it out!

Sax
Drums

Jaguar Baritone Custom

The one I'm more interested in is the side project from me (bassist) and the guitarist from our band, (which I'm still In) called "fragile starlight" (The new one, No Recordings yet, but [Invalid or Expired Link Removed] ) It'll be an acoustic sorta thing, no bass (so far, If a song calls for it I'll break out the ol' four string)

right now Its a duo, guitar and bass
we both switch off between lead and rythm
Expirimental/Metal/Psychedelic/Advante Garde

we try to mix up as many influences as we can
we enjoy long instrumetal jam songs
Somtime we have lyrics other times we dont, just depends on the feel im going for.

Need a drummer, keyboardist would be helpful
We had a second guitarist at one point, but her paranoid mother banned her from doing anytihng band related-what a b****. that guitarist had a neat textured, finger picked style both me and the lead guitarist enjoyed. Geez why do teh good one have to leave?
