Terrible gig story...

Almost 20 years ago I was sitting at my apartment with a friend of mine watching a movie. I hear some knocking on the sliding glass door and I look and their is a woman standing there with blood all over her face and head dripping down on her tshirt. She had taken a chair over the head from her drunk boyfriend and wanted to get inside and away from him. So we let her in and called the police right away, and I would never had thought I would be treated the way I was for helping this woman! The cops were pretty much accusing us of doing it, and asking how much we had to drink which was zero because I don't drink or use drugs. They didn't want to believe the woman that it wasn't us who did it! So here I am trying to help someone and almost getting taken downtown for nothing but being a good citizen. So I kind of understand not wanting to report something but on the other hand I know its probably the right thing to do.

I was at a company function and a co-worker was slipped a mickey (wow, nice vernacular. Too many movies). Three of us stayed with her and helped her to her hotel room. Another female co-worker spent the night in her room to ensure she would be okay. Never found the a$$hole who spiked her drink.

A buddy of mine and his girlfriend texted me one night that they were nearby and invited me to come hang out with them. We watched a blues band and then went into this nightclub place because she wanted to dance. She orders a single drink, we dance a little, decide to call it a night and part ways, being parked on different streets. Next day my buddy tells me how his girlfriend got halfway to the car and couldn't make it the rest of the way without being carried.

Some a hole in that club slipped her something.

He took her home and watched her try to sleep it off for a few hours. When she woke up she was still so loopy he took her to the emergency room. She was okay eventually.

I don't what motivates people to do rotten s--t like that. We never had any hope of figuring out who it was.

Important Safety Tip: Don't wait all night before taking someone to get medical help.
