I'm having the same type of issue, and Quick Reply is the only way I can post. I can't even start a new thread because the reply window gets taken over by this

Curiously, I don't have this problem in Safari (which I almost never use). Seems to be a Firefox problem. I'm running a MacBook Pro 10.6.8. I've deleted cookies, but that doesn't help. Any ideas?
There was an outbreak affecting Java on Macs from a trojan.
Mac Trojan | Flashback Trojan | Zero Day Mac Java flaw | Mac virus
Mac Trojan infects machines via unpatched Java bug
And the fix info:

Oh my... I'd recommend running a malware removal tool asap. It looks like your text input box is being hijacked by some code that's sending you ad links.
I would also recommend starting Firefox in "safe mode" which will disable all your extensions and add-ons, in case one of those is malfunctioning this will isolate the issue.
I just ran Malware, found 2 corrupted files, but still can't post (except for Quick Reply). Where do I find the add-ons? I'd like to delete them.
Thumper if you are using Windows you will want to run Malwarebytes.
Malwarebytes : Malwarebytes Anti-Malware PRO removes malware including viruses, spyware, worms and trojans, plus it protects your computer
and if your antivirus isn't up to date download and run AVG. It's free and works well.
Again this is for windows only.
