Paul, I can't start posts, reply (except quick reply), leave feedback, or PM's using either of my computers. I fill in the title, but the body text block is in light blue. When I fill it in and submit I get a message that my message is too short. This used to randomly happen, but now it is 100% of the time.

Strangely enough I can post using my Kindle Fire, but then the screen is so small and I can't use the search function. Do you have any suggestions?

I'm having the same type of issue, and Quick Reply is the only way I can post. I can't even start a new thread because the reply window gets taken over by this

Curiously, I don't have this problem in Safari (which I almost never use). Seems to be a Firefox problem. I'm running a MacBook Pro 10.6.8. I've deleted cookies, but that doesn't help. Any ideas?

Oh my... I'd recommend running a malware removal tool asap. It looks like your text input box is being hijacked by some code that's sending you ad links.

I would also recommend starting Firefox in "safe mode" which will disable all your extensions and add-ons, in case one of those is malfunctioning this will isolate the issue.

Thanks for the info... I had seen similar articles through Cnet last week. I ran the Terminal codes they posted, and no evidence of the Flashback malware existed. I also unchecked the Java permissions in the Java Preferences box, as suggested by their article, and the one you listed. I'll try Paul's suggestions and see if it's something to do with my add ons. I'm able to post this reply because I'm using Safari. Will let you all know what I discover about this pesky situation....

I ran all of the Malware removal tools, disabled Java, and still had the problem. Next I disabled all of my add ons ( I only have three) and started adding them back on one-by-one. Found the add on creating the problem... It's an audio downloader that installs on youtube. The company's name is Yontoo.

Anyone else having this type problem, disable your add ons, and enable them on-by-one until you discover the culprit. Problem solved!

Thumper if you are using Windows you will want to run Malwarebytes.

Malwarebytes : Malwarebytes Anti-Malware PRO removes malware including viruses, spyware, worms and trojans, plus it protects your computer

and if your antivirus isn't up to date download and run AVG. It's free and works well.

Again this is for windows only.

Good advice. Thumper, my problem was specific to the Firefox web browser. If you're not using it, or have never put add ons in the browser, then your problem most likely malware. What kind of browser are you using to access the internet?

Ran AVG, tried to run malwarebites (it did a scan, nothing showed, but it said we still beleive you have an issue, and wanted me to buy their product). I went to Windows Explorer and said to disable all add ons, then I came here and I still can't reply to posts. Remember, this is an issue on my netbook and my wife's laptop, but not my Kindle Fire.

Below on Posting Rules: vB code is On, Smilies are On, code is On, HTML code is Off, Trackbacks are Off, Pingbacks are Off, Refbacks are Off

Could one of them be an issue? If it is HTML code being off is the issue, how do I turn it on?
