I seem to remember reading here that they made some of the best Ric copies.

The el maya is not a bad one, but yes, the Ibáñez feels "solid-er"

Your Warwick is a 1996. The last two digits show this as “96”. I have a ‘98 Fortress One 5-string and years ago wrote Warwick directly to confirm this and get a part number. They were very helpful but may have taken a week or so to respond. You should still write them to ask about your bass. Give them the serial number and they can tell you a lot about it!

Do you have to move basses? Why not keep all of them?

Mostly because I really dont use all of em LOL I always gravitate towards the fender the warwick or the g&l in that order and maybe if I let one of those two go then ill buy another one

I hope I had the original trc but it came with this one and mostly I keep it on because where I live is super dusty but i'll try to find one and keep it in mind and thanks thats another vote for the Ibáñez!

I can tell by looking at the Warwick head-stock, that is a good bass, with quality wood. The parts used back then were of the highest quality.

Yeah the blond seems more solid (maybe because it is not painted completely) the problem with that one is that it had a normal fender type bridge and had a huge rectangular hole when I layed hands on an old ric bridge I put it there but the hole is still visible on the sides and on top of that, the bridge had the saddle canal of the D and G strings out of place so I have to put the string on top of the saddle and not the canal LOL, the problem with the el maya is I cant for the life of me get it to ehhhh I dont know the word in english, "octavate"? xD I was thinking of getting a hipshot replacement for both I dont know if the intonation issue is something common on ric and ric clones...

I have 1 doubt about a bass (I hope I clicked on the right topic for this to be posted on) is about an oldie, well 90s warwick fortress I look up the serial in the warwick page but it does not show up :'( sounds awesome tough I just would like to know if any of you kind folk would have any idea on it.

That was the doubt, now the question, between an "el maya" ric clone and an Ibáñez ric clone both 70s wich one would you keep, and why (I know, I know, pick the one you like the most, but I like em both for various reasons and they both have their flaws and pros any help would, well, help xD

In case your instrument could not be identified by means of the serial number, e.g. because it was built before 2000, we still can help you with your enquiry. For this we need the following information:

- Model name
- Serial number
