ACC Amps were not built to run 230 unless they were shipped to Europe or Asia or somewhere else that has 230 or 240. You would have to use a step down transformer if you imported an older one from the United States. The Grexa versions that were built in the last five or eight years may be more flexible. I have one, but being in the US, I haven't thought about it much. They have the usual detachable power cord that's typical of a piece of equipment that can be set to run on more than one voltage. Sorry to be vague.

Here in Sweden (240V) all imported Acoustic amps were modified to meet national electric safety standard. Power switch and power cord was changed, there was also a fuse added on the transformer secondary side.
You can see the red powerswitch on my 140:

I've got that rig!... I've had my 140 up for sale though. Stupid idea, but money is tough...

I'm still waiting to get my reconed original Emis back to load into the 106, but how do you like your rig? Do you gig with it?

I've had the 402 since 1979ish, just love that cab and has never felt a need to replace it. Best compact 215 there is IMO.
I bought the 140 head quite recently and has only used it in jamsessions and rehearsals so far. I've always used other brand heads before so this is my first ACC amp! I will try it on a gig soon but I feel I need to get to know it first. My main amp now is an EBS Fafner, and I also have a Peavey Alphabass tube head. So the competition is tough ;)

Greetings, everyone. I have a problem with my 370 posted in amps and cabs and it's been suggested I post it over here instead.

My amp is painfully bright. I have the treble turned all the way down, the mids turned all the way down, the eq sloped off at the higher frequencies, I have the tone control turned all the way down on my Jazz AND I have the bridge pickup turned all the way down just to make it bearable. And yes, I have the 'bright' switch turned off.

I took my bass to the local music store and plugged it in a big SVT with an 8x10 cab to make sure it wasn't something in my bass. (And man it sounded pretty...)

Any suggestions on where to look for problems?

Where are you? I know a guy here in RI who set up both my Acoustic heads like new...
