Finally scored a second EVM 15b. Will replace the JBLs inside the 406w. I like those speakers for the heavier darker stuff

Its graduation day....the 371 head has some issues... but the 361's are done, up and running..The better looking cabinet had the worst condition bottom panels..had to dis-assemble it and reglue and screw it.
Once again...you do awesome work! Its graduation day....the 371 head has some issues... but the 361's are done, up and running..The better looking cabinet had the worst condition bottom panels..had to dis-assemble it and reglue and screw it.
Ha! I was within hours of doing that a couple of times..as a matter of fact, I did one of the cabinets thinking it would cover more flaws and defects than it did..then I did the other one with good, old contact cement and it shrunk the tolex...I strapped them onto a skid..where they sat for the last 5 years. I was bound and determined to restore the 361's to the best of my ability, and with this much free time...2 boxes might as well be 4 boxes..I'm pretty happy with the way they turned out. The 370 head is up to snuff now as well..just a few old solder joints needed to be reflowed.I used Duratex on my 370 restoration. I wanted to recover it but I'm afraid my skills wouldn't be up to snuff.
It turned out pretty good.

Jeesh! Those suckers look brand new! Congrats! The only thing I really did to upgrade the looks of the 361's was to replace the 3/8" bolts sticking out of the sides with stainless steel flat head allens with finish washers...much cleaner I think.
WOW....Noice!The only thing I really did to upgrade the looks of the 361's was to replace the 3/8" bolts sticking out of the sides with stainless steel flat head allens with finish washers...much cleaner I think.
How much is he asking? I'm not planning to sell anytime soon, but I have 1058 (head) and 1044 (cab).Someone local selling a 360/361. Serial number of the cab is 1009. They started counting at 1000? So that's insanely low. Luckily his asking price is so high i'm not even tempted
Clearly, he is not serious about finding a buyer!I would have been tempted for half of that. Not for this insane number lol
I sense a theme here...
Mouth watering stuff. You could answer a question I've often pondered. Are you able to get similar tones to the 360 from a 220 or 320. Maybe not exact but ballpark? Thanks in advance!
