I see that and I still don't understand the stigma attached to the new Acoustic line. The heads are good - powerful and so far trouble free.
The cab drivers may not be the most expensive - but then again not every manufacturer uses El Primo drivers either.
By this date I've pushed my Acoustic gear pretty hard - even got the cooling fan into Third Gear and it's all good.
What is also very evident is that the olde school tone these amps kick is really just the way it used to be but with one additional thing going for them - they can get very modern-sounding too with great Highs and powerful Mids.
Just toggle in the horn on the cab and you can shatter glass if you're so inclined.
Don't worry about it - a common mistake.
I played a few of the old Acoustic refers when I rocked in a surf band in 1960-65 in Newport Beach.
The new GC-line is really very good.
The stigma is just all about the brand name being controlled by GC and manufactured in China.
Sure - blame it on China! That stigma is just wrong and any persons with other ideas forget that they wanted an open materials/products border and the NAFTA to go into effect.
Actually there's not much left for a flag-waver here in the US any more. Most if not the highest percentage of electronics are off-shore as is most of the labor.
If it's just GC-Hate, then that's also misguided. GC does what it does well and they are 'somewhat' successful or they wouldn't be opening new stores in this bad economy or doing interior remodels. Stores may vary from locale to locale, but that's just the nature of the beast.
Actually - since GC has Acoustic as it's store brand, it makes it very easy to get any warranty exchanges done at many more places than buying another more expensive line that requires one to mail back the offending product and wait for a new or repaired or rebuilt unit to appear via Brown Truck - in a few weeks or so.
I'd say that the chances of one living within driving distance of a GC is a lot higher than living in Hawaii and needing a knob, fuse or any other part from a company based in Chicago - who has to get the part from China anyway.

I'm joining this late, but I've been a happy B20 owner since last May and am thinking about a bigger Acoustic rig for playing out. I'd love to hear some thoughts on the B200H and B600H- pro and/or cons for either? Also, has anyone tried the new, Neo speaker cabs? Thanks!
I have both the B-450 and the B-600H.

B-410 (2 actually)
B-810
If I had it to do over, I think I'd have gone to the B-600H and the B-410 first and added the B-810 later on.
That would give you a composite B-1210 and with 2.67Ω very close to 600 Watts.
I like the B-450 though on top of a B-115 as it swells and punches at the same time - but you can overdrive a 115 pretty quick - so if you go that way, be careful.
The Neos are OK - but I prefer the larger cabs on the conventional drivers.

I have a Carvin BX500 amp that really kicks hard.
I have an Acoustic 410 on it now and am looking to expand.
Any suggestions?
- add a 115 and couple with the 410?
- get 2 115's (250 watts to each from the BX500 - will the cab crap out?)
- get another 410 (THAT would be a tall stack)?

I feel that a larger cab just has more potential to resonate at the better freqs I like.
The Neos are a little sharper-sounding to me perhaps more 'brilliant' too - and although I try to take into consideration that they are new in the store, they just feel too Mid-and UP to me for sounds - maybe more 'modern' with less thump.
The 210s are nice with a single 15 though. If I play a 410 and a 115 the 115 gets boomy and goes into distortion faster when it gets up in the power.
With the 210s on the B-450, it feels more balanced to me and neither cab seems to hog all the Wattage.
Joining up if you'll have me. Was playing direct before and was always pissed at the sound guy afterwards. Came into some $ recently and the wife said I could finally get a decent amp. Figured I should aim "high" to start the negotiations. Showed her the add with the JPJ rig and the B600h/B810. She agreed and now I get to stuff that monster in the backseat of the Camry for gigs... nice. Love that sound! Have a question: what would a footswitch do?

How is that mini stack working out for you? I'm thinking about getting one for the church I play at. It seems like a decent size for it. Does it sound good?

OK - the dual footswitch you need (and Acoustic doesn't sell or recommend the correct type) will allow you to put the head in 'STANDBY and also turn the Notch Filter ON/OFF.
No-one can correctly tell you the right one - but I can. Some might accidentally find one that works, but it's just an accident, believe me.
If you want to be able to control those two devices, let me know and I have pixs and recommendations on what will work and obviously what won't.
Keep it in this main area and let's keep it off the PMs so everyone can know what's what - OK?
