The Ampeg From Hell

It was very,very real. I think Ampeg back in the SLM era
did this thing more than once for NAMM shows. It gave
their design team a chance to do a for show only, hot rod bass rig.

If I remember some stats; they had made a fully functioning
1200 watt all tube SVT inspired head to fuel that 36x10
monster cab. I wonder if anyone tried to buy one of
these beasts. It would be a blast to fire one up in a stadium
setting and see what it does.
 
There were two different types made at various times...... mostly for shows, or for a particular store. One was also on a TV show.

That one would be the most recent, I think. Not as nice looking as the earlier one. One pre, two power amps, so 600W. But sounds like more with all those cones.

But it's surprising how loud one head and at least two 810 cabs will get.....

Stadium setting? I'd park it out in the middle of the cul de sac!
