The Approaching Snowstorm

11 pm now, looks like about 3" on the ground, and it's still coming down steadily. My dogs are as happy as can be (they're half Samoyed), bouncing around in the snow...I'm just standing out in it marveling at how pretty it is...looks like the weather guessers got it right this time, we're on track for at least 5" right now!

I'll definitely make it to work tomorrow, but I'll be pretty much the only one there most of the day, at a guess...

....I haven't seen confirmation of that on the AC TV station yet...

Looks like they're getting plenty of snow....

Looks like the weather guessers WERE right, this is as much of the white stuff as I've ever seen here, and they're predicing more for tonight, should be interesting...

...here's a couple shots of my back yard right now, one looking down from my upstairs at my greenhouse which is covered in snow, the other (blurry, sorry...iPhone is my only camera) of my dogs really enjoying themselves in the snow (I'm about to take them out for a walk in a bit, they LOVE this stuff...):

So strange, we're expecting mid to high 30's (celsius) and wind gusts of up to 120km/h in a completely dry state, leading to yet another massive bushfire alert.
And you guys have snow storms.

We don't have bushfire alerts, as you can see. We instead have the weekly kiddie-swallowed-by-giant-snowblower news.

http://www.publiquip.com/photo/Larue-7460.jpg I'd say a good hundred of these get in motion to clear the streets, usually. It can spit off the occasional hidden rear car bumper, too.

To each his own. :hmm:
