The Approaching Snowstorm

Looks like we got a few inches on the ground and the wind is whipping.

I called into work a little while ago (don't have to be in till 9:30) to find out what was going on and they told me to come in if I feel like it. Pfft, I never feel like going in. :D

Meh, whatever. I'd go in if I have to. I have a 4X4 so it would be a problem. I haven't seen a snowplow go by my house yet and the traffic reports a jackknifed trailer truck on the route I would take. It would probably take me a good hour or so without the highway, but it would suck to drive there only to be sent home.

As of about 11 it's stopped snowing in the Boston area. I'm at work, but they're ordering pizza for those of us who decided to come in (not like I had much choice, cell need to be split!). Had a bitch of a time getting out of the driveway, but I drive a stick so I just plowed through. News reports are saying we got 10 inches in my area.

...everything here is shut down, I made it into the shop, but probably will call it a "snow day" soon, and go home...tomorrow will likely be worse here, no snow in the forecast for tonight, but the high will be ~35F, so some will melt...the low tonight is predicted to be 15F, so all that melt will freeze, and the roads will be a royal mess (not nearly enough snow equipment here)...

1:10PM.

It stopped snowing here in Queens a few hours ago, and there's about 8 inches on the ground now.

They say there's another inch or two coming before it's all over at about 5 O'clock.

I didn't go to work today; I know I'm a bad boy.

Hey, it'll be St. Paddy's day in a couple of weeks! :hyper:

Got done snow shoveling/snow-blowing about 1:00. Did my house, my mothers, then I made a twenty spot doing some dudes sidewalk. Pfft, sucker. :smug:

Checked in with work and they said there is not much going on and not to bother. Good thing I made that twenty bucks. :D

Time to get a bite to eat. Maybe throw on a movie.
I got We Own the Night from Netflix. I don't think I've seen this one yet.
