its gonna be close one.

I will be working to. but will be keeping a close eye on it whenever the delightful patrons decide to stop ordering more drinks :D

Idont like my chances.

tbh, I'm not too fussed about what happens.
politics is way too homogenised anyway.

Give rudd some bushier eyebrows and get rid of his hair and there you have it. Johnny Howard

Going to an election night party at a mate's place tonight...go you good thing! It'll be interesting to see if we have a clear result by the end of tonight though...some analysts are suggesting that it might be a long, drawn out (ie very close) count.

Polls just closed...it's on!

i think that rudd has much better policies, especially the internet one we need better internet. BUT i do not trust unions.

IF i was old enough to vote i would go for Labour in the lower house and Liberal in the Senate just so the good policies get through but the union power doesn't.

It would be interesting if Howard lost his seat though. But Costello was gonna take over soon enough anyway. I don't wan't Costello in.

Thats scary, ...Rudd has policies that make admissions that the state Labor Governments are a failure , in Health , Education , and roads, other than that he's the same as Jonny .:hiding:

I remember our Labor government and the crap we were in at the time. 12+% unemployment, 17% interest rates & huge national debt. No point having fast internet if you don't have a house to live in or a job to pay for your big puddle.

Some are going on about Costello becoming prime minister. mmm yeh what do you think Hawke and Keating did? The same thing.

We now have low unemployment, low interest rates & a surplus budget. A very strong economy which means more jobs. I hire many staff and I can safely say if Labor get in it's a matter of time before heads will need to roll and not by matter of choice.

It's the same old cycle decade in decade out. Labor gets in blow all our dough, we all suffer and then vote in Libs. Libs get in do what we need but the public sooks about them and vote them out again.

Peter Garret says it best "Short memory, must have a"

If Labor get in I'm bracing for impact because we are gonna be screwed very soon. Quote me on it.

Good point, each way seems to be extreme. I'm all for protecting people with their jobs because there is always those companies that will abuse people.

But at the same time when you have a staff member that won't turn up to work until 11am, takes sick days off to have house warmings, then gets so drunk they can't work for the next few days they make it very hard for that business to survive and pay their salary.

It would be great if you could actually sack a crap worker but workers have a safe and fair employer.

I guess it's all about balance. No point protecting to staff to the point where it sends the company broke.

No company no jobs. Bad for everyone.
