The Bass Face Thread.

I know he is not a bassist, but I always love Robert Cray when he solos, the faces that he makes and the fact that he sings (or shouts) the notes to himself as he plays! He just seems to live every second!

After looking at the pics of our compadres in "full effect",
I think that the strangest, oddest "Bass Face" is someone who just smiles blandly and looks around to make eye contact with the crowd.

While playing he smiles and nods at random faces in the crowd as if to say:"How are YOU?I know you are here!I SEE you!"
Or "And how 'bout the folks in the back?Doin'alright?"
Or on the other hand, a plain blank emotionless face.A"Thousand Mile Stare"Looking straight ahead.THAT would be truly odd.

It's a very contrived, calculated effort to not be absorbed in the music.
As if somehow that was such a bad thing.

This is the face of those who are emotionally involved in the music.
When you have that mind/heart/spirit/feel thing going on.
I think it's unnatural to NOT make a "Bass Face"of some sort.
If you don't,feel this, are you alive?
Don't you like the music you play?penny1.jpg
