I honestly have no idea what you are talking about. I think you are having a different interpretation of this thread than it has.

I really am the author of this tool, and I wrote it for people to use, that's why I posted this thread originally and invited people to go use it. Do you see how weird it is that you are now telling the person who created the thing in the first place and then invited people to go use it that he be shouldn't put down the tool....that he wrote? What are you talking about?

Why in the world would I write it, then turn around and say its not valuable and not to use it. Where am I saying, anywhere on this entire thread that it is not a valuable or useful tool??? WHY WOULD I WRITE IT THEN??? Huh?? I use the thing almost every day, and have found even more uses for it than when I originally posted the announcement of it.

Seriously, I have no understanding of the interpretation you have pulled from this thread, but you are going to have to do a way better job of explaining why you think I am disparaging the tool when I went to all the trouble to make it in the first place. That doesn't make any sense.

Holy snykies, I've got my posters switched! I thought you were the guy badmouthing it. My point was that I believe your program is indeed highly credible and useful. Pay no attention to the ass in the corner. Sorry you had to heed that. Carry on.... :hiding:

Just added a feature to the Bergonzifying Transmogrifier.

Now you can get permutations with combinations of notes and, wait for it, RESTS.

Like this:

Or you can add different notes and multiples rests and get all the combinations of that arrangement:

Either the chord symbol is incorrect or those should be C#s (i.e., improper key signature), or that's really how you want it. :D

I get that the point is the rhythms. The accidentals/chord accuracy is irrelevant to your point; now you can do the combination/permutation thing with the rhythm...

Well, it's what I have to work with.

The notation renderer is not as flexible as a full blown notation program like Finale or Sibelius. It only contains a sub-set of a full blown app like that so, yea, the chords are just going to be whatever the first note of your selected notes are. The way it works, there has to be some kind of chord in the set, so it just takes the first note.

Obviously if you put in C, F#, Ab, and A, that is not a C chord. Obviously. Same with the accidentals, it just renders them as it goes.

I am quite sure a person of average intelligence can figure it out.

also ... i just had a thought. is there anyway to pre-encode chord symbols with four notes. so instead of inputting ACEG in, you could just say Am7.

the reason i ask this is then you could theoretically input an entire 32 bar tune and have a spontaneous fake transcription of sorts. of course this would exclude scalar approaches and chromaticism, but i just think it'd be a cool thing to do.

i don't mean any disrespect. just an idea i had. i'm sure it's probably already been mentioned actually. but i dunno. i also don't know a damn thing about programming so i have no idea how much work that could take. sorry. just wanted to throw that out there.

Afraid not, there is a limitation on the amount of data that Amazon (where it is hosted) will take in a submission, the data has to go to the bopland server to get rendered, and there is only so much Amazon will let come over in one submit.

With 5 notes you get 120 possibilities, and with 6 notes you get 720 so those payloads are just too big for Amazon to allow as a single form submit.

If that changes it could do more notes, but right now 4 is the most it can digest when the patterns get sent over.

That is the only limitation, it would be easy from the interface standpoint to do more notes.
