3. Therefore, the best bass ever is a Hofner violin bass. QED.

You're use of mathematical proof uses the assumption that The Beatles where the best band ever. Is this a result you can assume? Macca had also used a Rick and there's some photos of him floating around with a J bass. Does that mean Rick and J are also the best basses ever? I mean, sure we can assume existence, but existence doesn't imply uniqueness.

My dream bass would be a Fender CAR Precision body + narrow spacing bridge + narrow mid scale neck (32") rosewood fingerboard + (2) dual/single coil p'ups [one in the sweet spot, one near bridge]. Passive.
