Good choice! I got myself a Keeley Bassist too. Sweet little unit. Gets the job done neatly with no bad surprises.

I loved that part in the manual where they give you the absolute worst sounding setting you can dial in - so you'll know and never do it. Whoever decided to put that in was a genius. :laugh:

That's my standard setting! JK, though I do like to drive it pretty heavy sometimes. Generally, though, the light kicks in about half the time if i'm playing moderately, if I'm playing heavy, it can kick in close to 100%. I keep the knobs around 12:00 so around ... is it 4:1? 5:1 in that position.

But yes, it's a sweet unit. No fuss, no muss. Just getes the job done. Did yours ship with a battery? I was surprised to see the light go on as soon as I plugged it in, before adding the AC adapter.

No need to make this personal, Hoss. I never made any statements about my band being cutting edge, only that the stuff listed in the original post doesn't rock hard enough for me. Love The Killers and Snoop Dogg, but the rest of it feels soulless to me and puts me to sleep. Judging by a lot of the responses in this thread, I don't think I'm alone in this. Hell, even the original post put "Rock" in quotes.

Thanks for the free views on videos from like three years before I joined, though. Whatever makes you feel better.

By the way, the OP didn't put rock in quotes. I think "data" is in brackets, though. Confusing, I know. When one feels the need to cite other people's work to defend one's self, you know, creating microherd because one's metal armor apparently has a soft, milquetoast-esque spot, one must be sure to get it right!

And citing "not alone in this?" I agree, you aren't. However, as established in this very thread by the very people who you have just implied as being on your side...the herd usually gets it wrong!!! Uh oh, Conundrum!!

Either way, you're metal and you're unapologetic, and anti-herd. Or are you, "Hoss?" Metal, that is. Or is it just another uniform seeking profit just like the uniformed milquetoast that was made fun of?

Clearly you have this all figured out; that is, how you are more genuine than "they" are, so I will refrain from further debate with you because I can't keep up with your philosophy skills.

In closing, all should just stop the petty hate/bashing and other lower-intelligence forms of knocking subjective things like bands/people/basses, etc. If one feels compelled to give a negative opinion, justify it with some facts or examples otherwise it's just dumb hate/envy.

Those guys aren't the best bass player for rock. They don't play burst Precisions with tort guards. We have scientific proof now. Besides, do they play metal? Well...?

I play a Modulus but when you start picking bands willy-nilly, you start to skew the results. Having a said that, A Modulus Q5 may very be the best bass for Jam Rock...but I don't have the data to support it.

You sound a little mad, dude. I'll make sure next time I have opinions on what kind of music I like and don't like, I run them by you first so I can get a large text critique of my authenticity and attitudes.

Or, I can like what I like, you can like what you like, we can each have opinions, and that's okay!
