What is the best cheap gear you have? Show TB what kind of cheap,good gear you've got!

I've got an Ibanez SR590 for now.

I have a Yorkville XM200T Combo, and some may consider it is cheap. It sounds great, particularly with an extension cab, such as a GB 410XB2!

Then again, I didn't notice this thread is in the basses forum... perhaps my MIM P?

My Squier affinity P fretless is pretty awesome!

Modified SX Precision - all hardware is stock, but I gutted the electronics, shielded the cavities & swapped out the pickguard. Total cost is under AUS $170 Pic's from the Brisbane GTG.

This was cheap (150 UK Pounds) ...

It's a Westone Thunder IA Bass from the Matsumoko factory in Japan. It was made in 1983, to fairly high standards of crafstmanship and uses some pretty high quality materials (check out the ash/rock maple/walnut laminated body and the flamed maple centre section to the neck ).

The hardware is very solid and even has an active EQ system, with +/- 12db of bass or treble boost (unusual for a 25 year old budget bass).

For about the same price a new Squier Affinity bass, I'd say it's pretty amazing value. It does look a bit "dated" now, though .

well it retailed for $1000+ when it was new back in 1999

It needed a major repair the one body wing was splitting from the neck so I got it for a steal.. A few hours of labor and shes the best playing and sounding bass I owned lately..

Pre-Fender SWR Workingman's 12 ($375 sold 3 years later for $350)
Peavey Microbass (Fantastic parctice at home amp $60)

Bass PodXT Pro ($300 and amazing for the price)

My Eden N8. Freakin' incredible little practice amp for only $130. Weighs only 20lbs and sounds phenomenal.

Though I technically didn't OWN it (store let me have it for 2 weeks while they were sorting out the price on it before I decided I'd rather buy something more expensive) *lol* A Peavey Milestone. Incredible bass for only $150 or so.
