the BEST/MOST VERSATILE used 4 string

kids these days grow up so fast :D

haha. yea, growth spurts. i blame these hormones. plus ,every fender i've ever played i realize was with horrible used strings, in desparate need of a setup, etc etc.

so i ever got a true, out of the box, fender experience.

plus, that:

is pure sexiness.

Since I'm the one who led you down this dangerous path of Roscoe Beck GAS, I guess I shouldn't mention this. I could have been middle-man to hooking you up with a brand new Lake Placid Blue Roscoe Beck IV just last week for a mere $795. I don't think the deal still stands, but shoot me a PM if you want me to check on it.

I´d suggest you to consider the following ones:

- Lakland 55-02
- Fender Roscoe Beck
- Fender Geddy Lee
- Musicman Bongo
- Peavey Cirrus

All of them are completely different animals, but each one is great in their own right.

Good luck

I'm selling an Ibanez BTB1000 for less than $800. PM me/check out my thread in the classfieds.

I know that Ibanez isn't considered "high end", but I like them a lot and the BTB series are pretty good (I've got the 405Q and love it). Also, their necks are narrow, so if you are like me and have small hands (no comments from the Peanut Gallery!), an Ibanez may work.

Second the Hamer USA 2-tek cruise 4-string. I've got a 5 string that I bought brand new, and the resale on these is terrible! What this means is you get a bass that is better or as good in quality for anything sub $1500 and it sounds great, from deep dark tones to hi-fi slap. These go for less than $500 on Ebay.

well, the cool thing is, i think new/used from a guitar center is the best way to go, because my dad's friend works at the one near me, and im sure an employee discount would be in order :)

so, i gotta take a trip this weekend, check out wuts on stock/what can be ordered, and how low of a price i can get (i'd reckon i could get a new rickenbacker laredo or fender roscoe for 900-1000).

so thats my plan. til then, i just wanna stop browsing the internet.. and increasing the GAS.
