The best Thunderbird??

I played Mike Lull T-bass at NAMM last week.
They are infact SICK! His specially would pickups are very close to the old '60's sound. The bass also balances perfectly (on a strap or lap) and does not pull away from your body. Also, the E string is balanced and does not sound anemic as it does on many Gibsons. The body is also contoured on the upper wing so, you don't get an irritated forearm.
Mike is also a really nice guy. He gave me a special demo of the bass. I'm not sure what he is charging but, they are a steal anywhere under $2500.
The current Gibson's don't compare.

I think I may just drop a couple of Lull T-bird PUs in a Gibson T-bird and see what happens. I like how mine feel and even sound, but I am curious about those PUs!

n.p. hiros, my only complaint about my EPI-Bird is the slightly wider neck 1-3/4 nut compared to ALL my others being 1-5/8 on the 4 stringers I have. But I still play the heck out of it.

you might want to consider getting a used one for 200 or less, as there are a ton of them out there in that price range.
