The Big TB Sound Sample Thread

Okay I got off my lazy butt and went to Radio Shack for a 1/4" to 1/8" cable. Some of these recordings are pretty rough as I ended up overdriving the laptop's mic input a few times.

I used MM Stingray>Amp>Effect Out> Laptop Mic in>Windows Sound Recorder :)

First a clip with DOD Vibrothang, DT Hyper Phase and Boss CEB3

Next is a clip of a DT Bass Driver with the X knob @ 3:00, blend and tone @ noon.

Mods, why don't we make this one a sticky so all these samples can be found in one thread. Also, we can actually have one thread people can go to, use the Search feature, and pull up the exact effect pedal or effects unit they want to hear.

Just an idea as I have already seen a couple of other threads requesting or containing sound clips since this thread began.

Oh yea, since I'm here...

Thank you! The bass was run through a Presonus Inspire and I used the Cubase LE recording software that came with it.

I am presently working on another effects heavy clip that pans delay repeats left and right and left and right and left and right... :smug:

Okay, here's another one. Just an effects heavy riff played over and over.

Gear: Fender Jazz 24 and some effects>Presonus Inspire 1394>my laptop>Cubase LE

Center: The guitar chord like sound was made by BSW> Line 6 MM4 ring modulator> CEB3. The bass line had all highs and lows rolled off and mids scooped and was ran through the MM4 Jet Flange model. I was a little off time at first too :)

Right: The bass balls like sound are actually the MM4 phaser (MXR 90)> CEB3 in "Uniboss" mode. I only recorded the highs of the Boss' output.

Left: The bass chord like sound that repeats over and over are Whammy (5th up)> Digidelay (in tape mode). You may not hear this track if you listen through laptop speakers.

Drum machine: Alesis SR16.
