Check out psychobabble. I used a laptop soundcard and speaker to get the overdrive, recorded the speaker through a microphone, edited an echo effect in, edited a wah and phaser in, forget which order or what values, then added another echo (audacity is fun
). If I were to emulate that in real life, I'd probably use 1) my Russian Muff, 2) a BSW which is on its way from ZZsounds, and 3) some chorus pedal I don't have yet on the last part of the chain, though that's optional at this point.
