What's your closest P-Bass tone settings on the HH model?

I'm trying to cop the tone for a couple songs I'm working on with my band right now and closest I've come is to play all the way on the neck PU and then roll off the treble a bit to remove the 'active bass sound'. Sometimes I'll also roll off the bass too.

Yeah, I do pretty much that. Full neck pup, a little off the treble, and you can play around with scooping the mids a bit by polling back the mid-hi and mid-low together, just a bit.

While just a thought....Why sell your 4 String? You'll instantly regret selling it and everyone needs a 4 AND a 5 String Bongo.

I like the way you think! Well, part of me does. But I used to have like 8 electric basses and I got myself down to TWO at one point. (because I am not counting the double bass of course). And then I traded an acoustic guitar for a 4 stringer. And then I bought the Bongo 5er. Here I am with 4 electric basses, and I don't want to have this many basses again. I really want to be at 2. Maybe 3, tops. So, Bongo 5 stays, Portamento 5 stays, Steinberger 4 stays, and... sorry Bongo 4 - I love you but the cash would be nice to have. That said, you'll notice it hasn't made the classified yet. It will, but I'm dragging my feet, because she really is beautiful and fun.

I finally got mine last summer after GASing for a Bongo 6 for years. The prices for new ones have become insane. I was quoted near $3K CAD for a new Bongo 6.

I believe the blue one in your posted ad was a limited-time PDN offering from a few years back.

Hey! Just for fun I typed Bongo 6 into Kijiji. I see another one (Red) in Alberta for $1700CAD.

Does anyone on here ever have issues with the Bongo necks constantly needing to be adjusted every few months? 2 of the ones I owned in the past had these issues. I then spoke to 2 other Bongo owners that said the same thing.

A long time ago I had a Bongo 4HH, spent some time in the boutique-bass wilderness, and then took a few years off playing. A couple years ago I got the bug again and I was thinking about getting another EBMM but I wasn't too hot on their recent color offerings. When they released the Firemist colors last year I knew it was time to pull the trigger, and I got this 6HH. I love it, and so does my cat. :D

It's pretty common depending on the temperature/humidity change in the city. I live in a city where it can snow/rain/hail and be 30C in the same day... so my instruments need minor adjustments sometimes.

I keep all of my instruments in their factory hard shell cases and in a climate controlled room but I live in Colorado and the elevation where we live is right at 4,000 feet. I’m curious if the air pressure possibly effects it too? It’s only on my EBMM basses though and 1 or 2 in particular.
